A Northwest Florida mom wants answers after she says her toddler started suffering a seizure, but she couldn’t get any help.
Calhoun County resident Karrie Williams claims an ambulance never showed up, forcing her to drive the little boy to the hospital herself. Says she was on her way to Jackson Hospital on Monday with her son, Rhett, when he started to go into seizures.
911 Call:
- Dispatch: “911 what’s your emergency?”
- Caller: “Hey, I have a little boy who is not mine, but we just pulled over on the side of the road and he’s having a seizure I believe”
However, an ambulance never came. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an internal investigation to see if the dispatch officer handled the situation appropriately.
