The Bay Education Support Personnel Association has reached an agreement with the school system.
Tuesday Bay District School Bard members approved a new contract and approved the revised salary schedule to go along with the changes, pending union ratification. The contract includes three furlough days for BESPA employees that will match the furloughs administrators and teachers have already taken.
BESPA represents between 600 and 800 employees with the school systems. The new contract will likely save the district about 250,000 dollars.
