Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll spent Thursday in Panama City Beach to honor women who have been elected to political office.
She spoke during the Bay County League of Women Voters event which recognized all the women who have held office since the local chapter formed in 1976.
Only 17% of all elected officials across the nation are women.
