WASHINGTON -- New York Congressman Anthony Weiner is denying that he sent a lewd photo from his Twitter account to a 21-year-old woman.

But he also says he "can't say with certitude" that he's not the person seen in the photo of a man's bulging underpants.

The Democrat tells MSNBC that he didn't send the photo, and that it was the work of a hacker.

Weiner yesterday angrily refused to answer reporters' questions about the incident. Today, he's been granting interviews, in hopes of putting the matter to rest.

Weiner says he has hired an attorney, as well as a private security company to find out how someone could pull off such a prank.

The photo was posted on Friday and sent to a female college student in Seattle. It was quickly deleted.

Weiner was a Twitter follower of the college student.

The tweet of the lewd photo first was reported Saturday by a website run by conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart.
