Coughlin Pleads No Contest

A Panama City Beach woman is now agreeing to a plea deal after she was charged in a police chase that resulted in her 12 year old daughter’s death.

Courtney Coughlin, 35, ran from a Lynn Haven police officer, trying to arrest her in an on-going fraud investigation.
The officer broke off the chase just moments before Coughlin crashed her car, with Kaylee Rice inside. Rice later died from her injuries.
Tuesday the state attorney’s office released new video showing how the tragedy played-out.
During the arraignment, Coughlin changed her not guilty plea to ‘no-contest’ on all charges in connection the wreck, fraud and forgery, and drug possession.

Sentencing is set for November 8.
