Destin Bank Robber Sought

Destin - A K-9 unit and deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office are searching areas of Destin for a man who held up the Union State Bank around just before 10 AM this morning.

Employees say a black male wearing a gray hoodie with a design on the front came in to the bank at 978-A Airport Road, pulled a gun, and demanded cash. He left on foot and they lost sight of him as he went around a corner.

Investigators are unsure at this time if he got into a car nearby.

Within minutes of the armed robbery deputies had established and perimeter and started canvassing the area.
