This is very talented performer is Forrest Williams with the Forrest Williams Band.
"I started playing when I was about fourteen, I grew up in rural Arkansas so I really didn't have anything better to do than play the guitar and I just fell in love with music early on around our household so I just stuck with it," Williams said.
And if you want to catch the Forrest Williams Band locally.
"Play all up and down the 30A area and just a wonderful community that supports the arts around here, so its a great place to hone your skills and be a musician."
But what is it gonna be like to open for a legend?
" I feel very privilaged to get to be a part of the Greg Allman concert, he's been an influence on my music - growin up in the south you had to know who the Allman Brothers were. I grew up playing Sweet Mellissa and Ramblin Man."
And it all happens right here at this beautiful venue.
"The Green at Gulf Place is a great place to come and see a concert - bring your blanket and lawn chair and come see Greg Allman," Tiffani Salinas, event manager
That"s right, come on out and enjoy a great concert by a legend and a maybe legend to be.
The concert is Wednesday, May 28, at the "Green at Gulf Place."
The gates open at 3:30 p.m. and will benefit the "Special Operations Warrior Foundation."
