Drivers bracing for more pain at the pump as gas prices continue to rise, up 7 cents from a week ago to $3.75 a gallon on average.

Since last month gas prices across Florida has risen about 23 cents. Average prices for regular gas are teetering at $4 a gallon in the northeast and above $4 in California, Alaska and Hawaii. Gas prices have been rising on the back of soaring oil prices, which have surged 10% over the past month. Tension in the Middle East over Iran’s nuclear program has played a role in the rising gas prices.

According to AAA, drivers should not expect any relief at the pump anytime soon, as gas prices are expected to increase into the spring and summer months.

we wouldnt have all this problem, if they would take our oil off the world market....I can see if we needed oil from other country's...but we dont....TAKE OUR OIL OFF THE WORLD MARKET...I LOVE MY COUNTRY, but it's the goverment you need to watch out for...the U.S.A is goin to blow up one of these days....why, cause the rich, get richer, & the poor get poorer, I also thing the president needs to take care of our country & stop worrying about other's.... thats why this country is the way it is today....

The GOP refuses to remove billions in tax payer oil subsides for the big oil companies. CEO's make millions in bonus checks. There is a GLUT of oil at all refineries. If every well in the GULF was shut down it wouldn't lower gas a nickel. Less than 2% of the worlds oil comes from the Gulf. This is SPECULATORS and millionaires driving up the prices. The GREEDY causes this, not Obama. He can't wave a magic wand and BP lowers the price. Get real.

We now have more oil than ever and less demand. They are inflating the prices because the president is pushing his GREEN energy policy which so far has failed. 5 companies have taken millions of dollars from the government to develop green energy and all 5 have gone bankrupt. The american citizens have lost this money and yet he still pushes for more GREEN energy companies. When will it stop. How much money will the american public have to lose before we wake up.

Obama has really done well. He and his cronnies talked up this gasoline being higher than 5.00. I believe Secretary Chu said he would be ok with gasoline being 12.00 like it is in Europe. Well, I have one suggesstion if Obama and his cronnies want that please pack up and go there. We need leadership in Washington and what we have now is not that. But failed cronnie capitalism and the people at here seem not to care. Please elect a new president and congress or we will all be destined for more trouble than we have now.

This is absolutley sickening, there isent even a shortage, its purely market speculation over the middle east probelms. How do these dolts that are running this country expect to repair our economy when people cant afford to put gas in their vehicles so they can get to work and back home every day. The gas trickle down affect only starts at the pump, expect EVERYTHING to start increasing in price again.

Gas prices were only $1.79 when Obama took office. It looks like their plan to increase gas prices to $5.00 is working.

I know this will not be posted, but here goes. Why are we standing around and talking about gas prices instead of doing something about it. we are so afraid of getting into trouble if we protest or say the wrong thing . Let me tell you something we ghave the right to gather and the right to free speech. If we keep letting these fools in washington and also Tallahassee run our lives we won't have to worry about gas prices becuse we th common people won't have cars or houses. You best pay attention to what the State and Federal Government is doing.
