Local food banks have been struggling to keep the shelves stocked with items for those in need this year.
More than a dozen local food banks have more to offer thanks to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The organization bought several tons of food in bulk and delivered it to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Panama City Saturday. Several volunteers helped load food off a semi-truck.
The food was transported to 18 different food banks.
