A local man is being held in the Bay County Jail today, without bond, on murder charges.
Delbert Glen Campbell, 49, is accused of killing his wife Thelma Louis Campbell and a Fountain man around 10PM Sunday. Bay County Sheriff’s investigators say Campbell admitted he showed-up at Richard Anthony Gioseffi, 56, home on Oleander Street in Fountain.
They say Campbell woke up his wife and Gioseffi, shot them in the head with a shotgun, then drove to the ‘231 Plaza Truck Stop’ and turned himself into a Sheriff’s deputy. When other deputies arrived at the travel trailer, Gioseffi was dead, but Thelma Campbell was still alive. She died a few hours later at a local hospital.
The case will most likely go to a grand jury to determine the level of murder charges Campbell will face.
