New statistics show 1 in every 4 homeless men in Bay County is a military veteran.
More than a hundred homeless veterans are getting special help this week. The Gulf Coast Workforce Board held its annual homeless veterans stand-down Thursday at the First Baptist Church in downtown Panama City.
Volunteers helped veterans with employment services, medical screenings, housing referrals and barber services as well as giving them sleeping bags and toiletry items.
