WASHINGTON -- A top NATO commander says there's a reasonable chance Moammar Gadhafi will go under pressure from the U.S. and its partners.

Adm. James Stavridis, the NATO Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, told a congressional panel Tuesday that if the U.S. and its partners "work all elements of power there's more than a reasonable chance of Gadhafi leaving."

Stavridis said there are several possibilities, including a stalemate or "Gadhafi cracking." He said a stalemate would not be in the U.S. interest.

Stavridis described the transition to NATO control.
