The Panama City Rescue Mission serves 750 to 800 meals a day to the needy.
Tuesday the Mission’s residential addiction recovery program students turned the tables, cooking and serving meals during the annual men’s ministries fund raising banquet.
“This rescue mission program is all about giving people a hand up, not a hand out. These men are on a program, they are monitored, they have job responsibilities as they progress through the program and at the end they graduate and they have a bank account and they have a job” Alan Graham, Bay County Realtor.
Organizers were hoping to raise about $40,000 dollars during Tuesday’s banquet.
