PANAMA CITY BEACH-- The search for a 20 year old Georgia man that went missing Friday continued Tuesday.

The Bay County Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife are searching a pond behind Purple Haze for Cameron Smith's body.

Since moving to Panama City Beach three weeks ago, Smith had been living in a tent behind Purple Haze right next to that pond.

Friends say after taking 4 hits of a synthetic drug Friday morning, he took off into the pond and swam away.

Officials are currently sweeping the ponds floor with radar. If anything is found, divers will then move in and further investigate the area.

Smith's mother believe's drugs are to blame.

"It only takes that one time for you to loose reality. For you to loose focus for your dreams and goals to go out the window. It only takes one time for you to get addicted to something," Jaime Arrendale, mother, said.

Smith's mom said her son had told her she had a house on the beach.
