Savannah area residents clean up after heavy storm

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Residents across Savannah were cleaning up after a series of powerful storms blew through the region.
WTOC-TV reports that residents spent Tuesday removing downed trees and cleaning up other damage from a storm that struck late Monday evening.
Israel Bryant Jr. says he heard a crash and saw two big tree limbs fall into a house and knock a whole in the ceiling. He says rain and water poured through the roof.
The worst of the storm struck Rincon. Trees fell onto streets and homes. One tree crushed a back porch.
No serious injuries were reported.
