School Discovers Time Capsule During Renovations

Updated: Wed 2:46 PM, Sep 21, 2011

The Holy Nativity Episcopal School in Panama City grew a bit.

School officials cut the ribbon on a new portable building to accommodate 5th grade classes. The totally renovated building houses 2-classrooms.

While preparing the site for the building, construction crews ran across a time capsule buried by the 1997 – 1998 5th grade class.

Most everyone had forgotten about the capsule buried underground. Everyone was anxious to see what was inside. The former students had filled it with stories and pictures. The particular classes who buried the capsule had recently visited Washington and New York.

Students seemed most amused by the clothing styles of the mid to late 1990s.
