APOPKA, Fla. (AP) -- A 17-year-old faces multiple charges after a weekend shooting during a party at a central Florida home.
The teen will make his first appearance in court Monday morning. Orange County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Susan Soto he was arrested Sunday and charged with eight counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count each of carrying a concealed firearm, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a minor.
Officials say it isn't clear why the fight broke out before the teen fired several shots into the house and fled Saturday night.
Deputies responding to the home found six people who had been shot. Three others took themselves to the hospital.
Authorities say at least one person was in critical condition. The names of the injured were not released.
