Thunder Beach Autumn Rally invades Panama City Beach this weekend. Bikers from as far as California traveled to the Gulf Coast to participate in the events.
Thunder Beach Productions is the organizations behind the rally and they estimate between 45,000 and 55,000 people to converge into the area. They say sponsors and vendors are what helps make Thunder Rally profitable. Generally, the Spring Rally draws a larger crowd than the Autumn Rally, but organizers feel good about this weekend's turnout.
Event organizers are not the only ones excited, thousands of bikers are expected to inundate the roadways of Panama City Beach and they too are eager to begin Thunder Beach.
"I've been here for five years in a row and I'll be back next year because this is just alot of fun" said Van Hodge of Louisville, Kentucky.
Local businesses have taken notice as well and are finding ways to cash in on Thunder Beach. RV Connections is a local business in Panama City Beach and they have several RVs set up at the rally venue.
"We're glad that it's here because you can tell these people spend alot of money so they means they spend alot of money while they're here and hopefully they spend it with us" said Leo Hill Jr. of RV Connections.
Thunder Beach Productions expects this weekend's events to pump about $10 Million dollars into the local economy.
