35-year old murderer Wade Williams, who shot and killed his parents, then killed a corrections officer from Holmes County during a manhunt, died a violent death.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation into the shoot-out between Williams and law enforcement officers on February 2nd is complete. Investigators say Williams was shot 17-times by those who were hunting him in the Choctawhatchee Wildlife Refuge.

The medical examiner says Williams had a gunshot wound in the head, leg, upper body, and both hands. They say all of the shots were fired from a distance, removing speculation that williams shot and killed himself, as officers closed-in on him.

Williams had been on-the-run for a week, after he shot and killed, then mutilated the bodied on his parents, Bruce and Sharon williams, at their Cottondale home on January 25th.

No one knows why he killed them.

Williams ambushed and killed Col. Greg Malloy, who was tracking Williams with K-9's from the Holmes Correctional Facility.

The FDLE report concludes that Williams death was justified homicide.
