130 Guns Turned in During Miami Buyback Day

MIAMI (AP) -- Residents dropped off 130 guns during a gun buyback event in Miami.
Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado says the Jan. 19 event brought in a record number of guns. Officials say several "assault weapons" were exchanged -- no questions asked -- for premium tickets to a Miami Heat game.
Anyone dropping off a gun was offered either Heat tickets or their choice of gift certificates to either Winn Dixie or Walmart.
Two more gun buyback events are planned for Jan. 26 in Overtown and Feb. 2 in Little Havana.
