MT. VERNON, Ga. (AP) -- Three suspects face charges in south Georgia after law officers raided businesses where they suspected illegal gambling was taking place.
WTOC-TV reports that all three suspects -- one from each business -- face charges of taking part in an illegal gambling operation.
The arrests took place Friday night in Montgomery County. They involved two stores in Uvalda and one in Higgston.
They come after a more than two-month investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and state officials.
Montgomery County is about 170 miles southeast of Atlanta.
