HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) -- Police are asking for the public's help in their search for a young mother who's been missing for more than two weeks in the Birmingham area.
Homewood police are assembling volunteer search teams to look for 23-year-old Nadia Kersh. They'll spend Thursday combing areas for signs of the woman.
Kersh was last seen leaving work at a store in Homewood on Nov. 3. Her car and purse were later found in west Birmingham, but there was no sign of the young woman. Police have launched a criminal investigation.
Rewards totaling about $36,000 are being offered for information in the case.
