MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Florida-based vacation-home company plans to close three sales and marketing offices in Wisconsin and lay off employees from a fourth, cutting more than 150 jobs.
Bluegreen Corp. of Boca Raton, Fla., told the state Department of Workforce Development this week the workers will be laid off as of Jan. 20.
The Wisconsin agency reported Tuesday the company would permanently close two offices in Wisconsin Dells and one office each in Sun Prairie and Baraboo.
On Wednesday the agency clarified that one Wisconsin Dells office would remain open but with "substantial" employment reductions.
A company spokeswoman did not immediately return a message left Wednesday morning.
