3 Tenn. men arrested for pharmacy robbery

Three Tennessee men suspected of robbing a Birmingham pharmacy led police on a chase that ended on U.S. 31 and led to their arrest.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the armed robbery occurred at Tyner's Pharmacy Monday afternoon.

Deputies arrested 21-year-old Phillip Andrew Hampton; 26-year-old Travis Ray Smith; and 22-year-old Shane Richard Moore, all from Ashland, Tenn.,

Authorities said the suspects threw guns and drugs from the vehicle during the pursuit, but all the items were recovered.
