Army Ranger killed in Iraq


An Army Ranger from Daytona Beach, Fla., has been killed in combat in northern Iraq.

The Department of Defense reports that 29-year-old Staff Sgt. Anthony D. Davis was killed Tuesday during a fire fight with a heavily armed enemy, who was later killed by Davis' assault force. No other Rangers were injured.

Davis was serving with the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment out of Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.

    So many of our men and women have lost there lives serving our country. Being prior military i understand the dedication from our soldiers. My heart goes out to the famalies if this soldier and i prey they will have understanding and peace.
