Police believe they have solved a rash of home burglaries with the arrest of a 20-year-old Theodore man.
According to Mobile police, officers responded to a burglary call Wednesday and nabbed William Conrad Rotter. He allegedly was found hiding in a closet.
Corporal Charles Bagby, a police spokesman, said Rotter was linked to at least 16 other break-ins, mostly in his neighborhood.
The string of burglaries started last year.
Bagby said officers recovered several thousand dollars worth of items.
Rotter was charged with 6 counts of burglary and was released from metro jail on $18,000 bond.
