The Rev. Bernice King and Martin Luther King III must turn over 11 boxes of their mother's personal papers to a special master.

The records are the focus of a legal battle between the heirs of Mrs. King and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. over who controls the documents. They must be turned over by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The third sibling, Dexter, heads King Inc., which controls the intellectual property to their father's work.

Bernice King and Martin Luther King III are board members of the family company. They argue that some of the records are too personal to be made public. They had been instructed to hand over 80 boxes of records, but Special Master William B. Hill extended the deadline and lawyers cut the number to 11.
