88-year-old woman stabbed to death in Snellville

An 88-year-old great-grandmother has been found stabbed to death in her Snellville home.

Police Chief Roy Whitehead says investigators have not been able to establish a motive in the slaying of Beuluh Gotwait. Her body was found Sunday with a bloody pillow over her face and multiple stab wounds to her body.

Authorities say Gotwait lived with her daughter, son-in-law and great-grandson.

Whitehead says there was no indication of forced entry into the residence.

Police Capt. H.O. Thomas says authorities have identified several people of interest, but wouldn't say who they are.

Thomas says police have located several weapons capable of causing Gotwalt's wounds but are awaiting tests to determine if they've found the right one.
