Pilot lands small plane on Ala. highway

A pilot escaped injury Tuesday night when he was forced to make an emergency landing on a highway south of Montgomery.

The pilot, whose name was withheld, said he was flying from Daytona, Fla., to Montgomery when his small aircraft began losing fuel in mid-flight.

He was forced to land on Highway 331

The aircraft was pulled off the highway. Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration will inspect the plane sometime Wednesday.
