A Grant Park community wants answers after neighbors say a home burned while it took several minutes for firefighters to arrive.

No one was hurt in the Saturday night blaze.

Witnesses tell The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Wilford Reed's wife called 911 twice but was put on hold. Another neighbor also says she called and was put on hold. Another neighbor ran to a nearby police precinct and told an officer, who called for help on his radio.

Atlanta fire officials arrived five minutes after that. Atlanta fire Capt. Bill May says an Atlanta 911 center took the call. He said Monday he believes there was an unspecified computer glitch, but it's unclear if it affected response time.
