Investigators search for missing Tuscaloosa woman

Investigators continue to search Lake Tuscaloosa for a woman who was last heard from by a friend in a phone call more than two weeks ago.

Police Captain Lloyd Baker said Monday investigators would continue to send out boats in the search for a 50-year-old woman who lives in northern Tuscaloosa County.

Authorities said she was last heard from on Jan. 9 and that her mother reported her missing Jan. 19. Authorities do not suspect foul play and searched the lake because of past statements she made.

Baker also said the search was guided by information the woman left behind in a note.
