A former Air Force enlisted man who was expelled from the service for a sex crime has pleaded guilty for failing to register as a sex offender in Alabama and for failing to notify authorities he moved to another residence.

Alabama Attorney General Troy King said in a statement Thursday, 26-year-old Brian Lee Carroll of Enterprise admitted he was guilty Thursday in Coffee County circuit court. Carroll was arrested last December and was indicted in June 2008.

He was sentenced to 3 years on each count, to run concurrently. The jail time was suspended for time already served.

A judge also ordered Carroll to serve 3 years on supervised probation.
