DeKalb Co. deputies find loaded pistol in diaper

A Stone Mountain man is in legal hot water after authorities found a loaded gun in a diaper bag at the DeKalb County courthouse.

According to the sheriff's office, an x-ray machine showed an image of the 9-milimeter handgun Friday morning. The find led to the arrest of 29-year-old Steven Richardson.

Authorities said a check also revealed the weapon was stolen.

Richardson said he didn't know the gun was in the bag. But he was charged with possessing a weapon at a public gathering, carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property. All are misdemeanor offenses.

Richardson posted a $2,000 bond and was released from custody.
