Two people survived the crash of a single-engine plane that went down in a field in Crawford County.
Crawford County Sheriff's officials said in a news release the plane experience engine failure and the pilot had to make an emergency landing when the aircraft went down just after 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Authorities said pilot John Lawton Sparrow and passenger Jessica Nichole Barnett, both of Hawkinsville were not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration sent an investigator to the scene. Cause of the crash was not immediately known.
