Gulf Coast Salute Coming up

It's been a couple years since the Blue Angels have come to town but guess what, they're finally back and the show is just around the corner.

The 325th fighter wing is proud to host their 2009 event on March 28 & 29, 2009 at Tyndall Air Force Base.

This year's event will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels along with the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the USAF F-22 & F-15 demos, the Sky Soldiers Cobra Demonstration Team, Tim Weber, Randy Ball, the Vintage T-33 thunderbird, The Gorsemen 3-Ship P-51 Demonstration Team, the Air Force Reserve Jetcar, and many others.

Country music star Darryl Worley is also schedule to perform Saturday Night! The best part about the event, is that it's free!

The main gate of Tyndall AFB will open at 9am for entry to the air show, you're allowed to bring cameras and don't forget good walking shoes.

Authorities say any type of weapon such as firearms, knives (including pocket knives and all purpose tools, i.e. Leatherman’s), backpacks, coolers, walkie-talkies, any alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, and large bags are prohibited.

Also, please do not bring pets to the open house. People bringing furry friends to the show will not be allowed entry, and will be prohibited from leaving animals in their vehicles.

According to the Gulf Coast Salute's Web site, all vehicles on Tyndall AFB are subject to search at any time. Visual inspections of hand-carried items will be conducted. There will also be a heavy K-9 presence in parking areas and at base gates.

There will also be food, water, soft drinks, and merchandise at the show.
