A Gadsden man will serve 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.

Alice Martin, the U-S Attorney for Alabama's Northern District, said 47-year-old Martin Tracy McBurnette was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Birmingham.

He was convicted in Nov. 2008.

Martin said McBurnette enticed a 7-year-old child to engage in sexually explicit conduct and then produced illicit images involving the child.

McBurnette still faces charges of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse charges and producing obscene material in Etowah County.

this guy is sick, he should never be released back into society. Seems like people who sexually abuse children just do it again after being released. Will the judicial system ever learn....
