WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A South Florida woman repeatedly screams "It hurts!" in a frantic 911 call made after being doused in gasoline and set ablaze.
Police released emergency calls in the case Tuesday, a day after the incident at a 7-Eleven store in Boynton Beach.
The 34-year old woman, who has not been identified, pleads for a dispatcher to hurry and says the man who attacked her is outside the store with a knife. She screams that he set her on fire.
The father of the woman's 4-year-old son, Roosevelt Mondesir, is charged with first-degree attempted murder in the burning. In an initial court appearance Tuesday, the 52-year-old was denied bond.
Mondesir does not yet have an attorney.
