ALBANY, Ga. (AP) -- An Albany police officer was shot during a hostage standoff, but the bullet only grazed him.
WALB reports that Officer Willie Hall was taken to Phoebe Putney hospital for examination but was not seriously injured in the early Tuesday morning incident. Police say Hall's cellphone was shattered by the bullet, which was caught in his bullet-proof vest.
Authorities say the hostages were released unharmed, but the suspects have not yet been caught.
