LONGWOOD, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida woman has made what can certainly be called a speedy delivery: She went into labor at a gas station.
Orlando's WKMG reports Shelly Tester gave birth with the help of her husband early Wednesday at a Mobil gas station in Longwood, about 15 miles north or Orlando.
The couple was on their way to Florida Hospital Alamonte when it became clear the baby wasn't going to wait any longer. John Tester pulled into a Mobil gas station and called 911.
Emergency dispatchers helped guide him in delivering his son from their pickup truck in the gas station parking lot. Paramedics arrived shortly after the baby was born.
The newborn is named Colton and both he and his mother are doing well.
