CUMMING, Ga. (AP) -- A 31-year-old man was arrested on charges that he posed online as a teenage girl to elicit sexually explicit images from underage boys.
Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brendan J. Spaar at his home Tuesday evening. Spaar was charged with four counts of child molestation, four counts of sexual exploitation of children and three counts of computer pornography.
Investigator J.D. Roe says Spaar created a bogus Facebook page, posing as a 16-year-old girl named Kinsey Spencer from South Forsyth High School.
Roe says Spaar began online relationships with four boys through the page.
Even though there was no physical contact, Roe says Spaar was charged under a state law that allows anyone who electronically transmits sexually explicit images of a child under age 16 to be charged with child molestation.
