DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- A Houston County judge has appointed two attorneys to represent a 22-year-old Enterprise man charged with shooting three people to death earlier this month at a strip club outside Dothan.
District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis named attorney Chris Capps as lead counsel and Ben Freeman as co-counsel to represent Ryan Clark Petersen.
Petersen is accused of killing three people and wounding a fourth during a shooting Aug. 9 at Teasers nightclub in the Wicksburg community. He faces three counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder.
Petersen told the court that he had no income except for collecting disability benefits. He also said his only assets were a television and a car.
