Fantasy Fest

KEY WEST, Fla . (AP) -- The Fantasy Fest costume and mask festival is concluding with a parade led by endurance swimmer Diana Nyad.
Nyad was honored for her record-setting swim from Cuba to Key West during Saturday night's procession of motorized floats, bands and costumed marching groups.
The parade in the city's historic district capped 10 days of revelry and drew some 60,000 spectators. The theme of the festival was "Super Heroes, Villains... & Beyond." There was a troupe of dancing Wonder Woman look-alikes and a float featuring Batman rising 40 feet above "Gotham City."
Tourism officials say the festivities bring approximately $30 million in annual revenues to the Florida Keys.
Fantasy Fest 2014 is themed "AnimTted Dreams & Adventures" and is scheduled for Oct. 17-26.
