First Date Goes Horribly Wrong; Woman Arrested

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- It was a first date to remember -- but for all the wrong reasons.
Boca Raton police said a 35-year-old woman attacked her date with a knife and smashed his windows early Wednesday after he disagreed with her assessment that she was his girlfriend.
The 39-year-old man told detectives he met the woman earlier in the week and they agreed to a Tuesday date. He took her to dinner and then back to his apartment.
Police say the woman became enraged after the man denied she was his girlfriend. They say that when he told her to leave, she grabbed a kitchen knife. The man wrestled it away and threw her out. She then allegedly smashed his windows with rocks.
She remained jailed Thursday on aggravated assault and other charges.
