TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A former corrections officer has been charged with kidnapping and killing his lover in central Florida woman.
Police said 42-year-old Leon Foster used a ladder to break into the victim's apartment Sunday, then forced her to the parking lot. The two were in a relationship or had been in the past.
Florida Today reports witnesses heard people arguing, glass breaking and what sounded like someone being hit.
Police found the couple in the parking lot where they said Foster was on top of 44-year-old Mykeba Clark stabbing her in the chest.
Police used a Taser to subdue Foster. He was charged with homicide, kidnapping and armed burglary.
Officials said Foster was fired in 1992 from his job as corrections officer with the Indian River County sheriff's department "for a similar act".
