BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) -- Two teenagers charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a baby in coastal Georgia are scheduled to be arraigned by a judge.
Both 17-year-old De'Marquise (day-mahr-KEESE') Elkins and 15-year-old Dominique Lang were expected to enter pleas Thursday before a Superior Court judge in Brunswick.
The suspects are charged in the March 21 slaying of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago. Police say the child was shot in his stroller as Elkins and another teenager tried to rob the baby's mother.
An indictment in the case accuses Elkins of shooting the boy in the face. Lang was charged as an accomplice. Both teens are charged as adults.
Defense attorneys for the teen suspects have said they're innocent in the child's slaying.
