WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Hundreds of Florida Power and Light workers are among the crews helping restore power in the Mid-Atlantic.
The company says it deployed about 320 workers and 100 trucks to assist in massive outages caused by summer storms.
FPL takes part in a network of power companies that offer help in the event of major storms or other disturbances.
More than a million homes and businesses remained without power Tuesday across seven states and the District of Columbia, their fourth hot day without lights and air conditioning.
