TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A 24-year-old soldier assigned to U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base was beaten up by four men while walking -- and the brutal attack was caught on video.
Tampa Police say Johnny Aparicio's car broke down early Saturday. As Aparacio walked, a nearby surveillance camera captured the image of a man running up to hand punching him. Two others joined in the attack; a fourth man ran up and kicked Aparicio in the face.
The four suspects took Aparicio's wallet and cell phone.
Aparicio staggered to a nearby home to call police. He received facial injuries and is being treated at a local hospital.
Police are searching for the suspects. A local church has offered a $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the attackers.
