DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- A Dothan man has pleaded not guilty for multiple charges relating to a shooting that left three dead and another injured at a night club in Dothan.
22-year-old Ryan Petersen is accused of opening fire at Teaser's Night Club in August, killing 31-year-old Tiffany Paige Grissett, 59-year-old Thomas Robbins and 20-year-old Cameron Eubanks. A fourth victim, the 33-year-old Scotty Russell, was injured in the incident.
Court documents show that Peterson faces one count attempted murder and three counts capital murder during a burglary. He pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Petersen has been ordered to undergo a competency hearing to determine the defendant's mental state at the time.
Authorities say Petersen was escorted from the club before returning with a pistol from his vehicle and opened fire.
