PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- A 67-year-old man could face life in prison after an Autauga County jury found him guilty of child sex charges.
The Montgomery Advertiser reports Oscar "Bill" Wingo was found guilty of three counts of sodomy. He is set to be sentenced on Sept. 17.
The verdict came Wednesday after two days of emotional testimony. Two victims are now adults. The third is younger than 16. According to investigators, the abuse went back more than 20 years. The adult victims testified Wingo plied them with alcohol and marijuana before the abuse began. The investigation began in February 2010 when the youngest victim reported what happened. Wingo has been in jail since his arrest the same month.
Sodomy carries a punishment range of 10 to 99 years to life in prison.
