PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida Highway Patrol says several vehicles struck a body on an Interstate 75 bridge near Punta Gorda.
Troopers say they were notified that a body was in a southbound lane of I-75 shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
Motorists were detoured at Exit 167 while the authorities cleared the scene.
Investigators were interviewing several motorists who may have hit the body.
No further details were immediately available.
